The fantastic voice of Alexandra Engström Johansson and music and lyrics by Anders Johansson make up the project "The Flowmotions". The music is melancholy pop-dance with, at times, a jazz touch. It's cool, danceable and has a big hit potential. Alexandra and Anders worked together on the "live at Berns II"-album, on which Anders has written the music and Alexandra sings. Her track sticks out and really touches people. Her laid-back style of singing really suites the music that Anders writes. So the collaboration continues and the Flowmotins are just about to be launched. All tracks are written and produced by Anders and he also plays all the instruments. Alexandra Biography Alexandra was born in 1984 in Uppsala, Sweden, and lived with her family in Australia for a couple of years, so the English language comes naturally to her. Alexandra being the niece of Anders, she's tagged along on concerts and summer jazz courses, picking up influences from all kinds of music from an early age. From jazz & classical to rock and pop, turning it in to her own style. She's been singing with a clear voice (and never out of tune)ever since she, as a small child, made her first attempts of music. At the age of 18 Alexandra made her debut on stage at Berns, the most famous palace of entertainment in Sweden. Doing songs by Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Irving Berlin with a jazz-quartet, she was highly appreciated by the audience and was asked to come back and perform many times. Berns has hosted artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, the Supremes, Miriam Makeba to St. Germaine, the Roots and many more, so it was a great honour for Alexandra when she was asked to be the soloist at the140th year anniversary of Berns.
